Feeling Disconnected

Welcome to 2020 and welcome to Run on Coffee.

The Christmas holidays have been and gone and I should be all systems go for this new year. But …… i’m feeling so disconnected.

The reason for this disconnected feeling is that my last child finished her schooling when she matriculated at the end of last year. I don’t have a routine anymore. No more covering school books, no more fighting school traffic in the morning’s and afternoon’s, no more attending sports events. Everything feels strange – feels disconnected.

I have to find my new normal.

What is that new normal going to be? I have no idea.

I do know that the first item on the 2020 agenda is helping my daughter get her drivers licence and she has her first lesson with a driving school today. My daughter is taking a gap year which my husband and I wholeheartedly support. We don’t want her to rush into anything. So I do know that I will be helping my daughter for her new normal in 2020.

So what will be seen on Run On Coffee in 2020?

Lots of #lovecoffee (obviously)

Travel (hopefully)

Events in Durban and surrounds

Miscellaneous (anything that I find interesting enough to share)

Will I be posting regularly? I will try my very best but you do know that one thing that is so unpredictable – LIFE.

  • Dear Nicola, I missed your presentation to Xtraordinary Women here in Somerset West last year as I
had left to visit children in Australia.

I desperately want to know where and with whom could I do a course to help me start a blog.

I will be speaking to elderly women and the challenges we face, especially after being widowed
and various other topics that affect women of my age.
