Granny Mouse Country House & Spa is a home away from home, an oasis of relaxation from the stress of everyday life and is well known for its friendly staff, great hospitality, divine accommodation and delicious food. The country house (I don’t think of it as a hotel) has gone through many changes over the years and just keeps getting better and better.
Granny Mouse recently held a media event to officially open its newly renovated Bistro and the newly built Conservatory. The other areas that had a renovation were the pool with the addition of a glass surround and new pool entrances and the deck outside the Eaves Restaurant. I did have a friend (who was married at Granny Mouse) express worry that Granny Mouse could have lost its homey quaintness with the new additions. I assured her and I assure you that the new additions only enhance Granny Mouse.
The renovated Bistro is fresh, open and far more spacious. Guests have the choice to sit inside or outside on the new deck. The newly built Conservatory is incredible! To be able to see the blue sky above you when enjoying your breakfast or lunch is such a treat. Also to be able to look up from your supper and see the stars. The Conservatory is an extension of the Bistro and it has been built on the open area that was between the Bistro and the Bar.
The Conservatory offers another venue choice for the bride to be, and I have heard that a bride has chosen to use this new area for her wedding. Just a warning – you will have to hire out the whole of Granny Mouse if you go this route.
I have recommended Granny Mouse on social media many times as my choice for Midlands accommodation and I will continue to recommend them. Granted it was the first place my husband and I stayed when we got married but more than that it is the service that Granny Mouse offers that makes a guest feel so special. The staff are attentive and strive to make your stay relaxing and happy.
Congratulations to Sean Granger (General Manager) and the rest of the Granny Mouse staff on your beautiful new additions. I look forward to seeing you all again in August when my husband and I come to stay and celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.
